Such as name, address, phone number, e-mail address (as long as this is appropriate!)

List the most recent experience first, continuing in reverse chronological order. Describe your work experience in short sentences using straightforward, positive language and highlight your key achievements.

Note: If you don't have relevant work experience then even voluntary work, Saturday jobs or something you did in the Summer holidays will be fine. Education /Qualifications - schools, colleges and any other courses that you have attended (along with the dates you attended and grades attained - if they are good!) including GCSEs, A Levels, NVQs etc... and also any practical qualifications you have such as St. Johns Ambulance First Aid etc.

Include specific skills such as a foreign language you can speak, or a particular computer software you can use, and state whether you're at a basic, intermediate or advanced level.

If your skills haven't already persuaded recruiters to offer you an interview, the fact that you enjoy a round of golf won't change their mind. However, hobbies will give the interviewer a more rounded picture and are evidence of self-motivation and commitment.

Note: It's OK to mention sports, music etc... but don't say hanging around with mates or going to the pub!

It's not necessary to note the details of your referees on your CV, but you should state that details of references are available on request.
