OTLA Officer

Full-time, Permanent

Based in Leeds- working across Yorkshire and Humber

Full-time 37 hours per week £25,000 per annum

An opportunity has arisen for an OTLA Officer. The successful candidate will work within our Quality and Performance Team reporting to our Quality and Curriculum Manager to ensure that our teaching, learning and assessment is graded good or better. The main objectives of the role are:

  • To take a lead role in driving improvement of quality in teaching learning and assessment across our partnership of subcontractors.

  • Ensure our teaching, learning and assessment across the organisation is at least good or better

  • Support partners to carry out OTLA’s to the standard required by Aspire-Igen, through one to one discussion, focussed training and moderation activities.

  • Produce monthly reports on progress towards all learning being good or better.

  • You will have experience of working with Training Providers and of observing teaching learning and assessment in line with Ofsted’s Common Inspection Framework. You will also have experience as a practitioner in a work based learning setting. You must have a Certificate in Education or equivalent and ideally be Level 4 Observation trained.

    You will have a critical eye for detail and be able to present information in a range of mediums. You must be able to work to tight deadlines and be able to communicate well with our Contractors. You will have practical IT skills (including internet, spreadsheets, word processing, database, PowerPoint, email, internet and multimedia). You will be able to manage your own workload and demonstrate enthusiasm, drive and commitment to Aspire-Igen’s values.

    Team Leader-Partnership Coordination

    Full time, permanent

    Based in Leeds- working across Yorkshire and Humber

    Full-time 37 hours per week £28,000 per annum

    An opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to support a team of 4 Partnership Coordinators. Aspire-Igen is the lead body for EFA Study Programme and ESF NEET partnerships with contractors in and around Leeds, Bradford and other locations across Yorkshire & Humber. The successful candidate will work within our Quality and Performance Team reporting to our Quality and Performance Manager.

    The role will play a vital part in coordinating the delivery and implementation of Study Programmes and ESF NEET for young people across Aspire-Igen’s Partnership. Applicants will need to demonstrate the ability of supervising a team and coordinating activity to ensure providers perform at acceptable levels. The successful candidate will be able to develop strong networks within a locality and understand the contrasting requirements of stakeholders and students. The main objectives of the role are:

  • To manage a caseload of sub-contractor partners to ensure contract target and quality benchmarks are achieved, seeking guidance from Q&P Manager where needed

  • To contribute to contract profiling and allocation of contract targets by working with the Q&P Manager

  • To work with the Q&P Manager to plan, monitor, review and evaluate organisations in their delivery of programmes to maximise starts, funding levels, retention, achievement and progression outcomes to ensure that contractual targets are maximised

  • To agree, monitor and ensure achievement of action plans to improve sub-contractor performance (with support and advice from the Q&P Manager) & share best practice

  • To supervise a team of Partnership Coordinators each with a caseload of subcontractors carrying out interviews, probationary reviews and Individual Performance Reviews.

  • To maintain Partnerships focus on Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities with a particular focus and commitment to safeguarding

  • It is essential that candidates hold either a degree or can demonstrate equivalent experience. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead by example are required. You will also have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and be able to utilise MS Office applications. An understanding of the NEET cohort and locality networks is desirable

    Knowledge of a range of funding streams, especially MI requirements and audit trails and experience of audit and inspection regimes would be advantageous. You will be able to manage your own workload and demonstrate enthusiasm, drive and commitment to Aspire-Igen’s values

    Compliance Officer

    Full-time, permanent

    Based in Leeds- working across Yorkshire and Humber

    Full-time 37 hours per week £25,000 per annum

    An opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officer. The successful candidate will work within our Quality and Performance Team reporting to our MI/Admin Manager. The main objectives of the role are:

  • To design and implement a programme of internal audits to ensure divisional and sub-contractor contract compliance

  • To undertake compliance action where appropriate, including quality monitoring, conducting site visits, student file audits and producing written reports in line with internal quality frameworks and external regulators

  • Collate, prepare and verify evidence for external auditing purposes

  • To produce written reports, incorporating audit findings, recommendations for corrective action where appropriate, and to provide feedback on progress to senior/line managers

  • To interpret annual (and ad hoc) funding guidance (including but not limited to EFA, SFA & ESF) and develop appropriate contract paperwork, systems and procedures to ensure compliance

  • You will have an understanding of public service contracting and contract management and have had previous experience of compliance auditing to public service contract standards. You will have meticulous attention to detail and sound administrative skills as well as a critical eye for detail and be able to present information in a range of mediums
