ESOL/English Tutor [ref: 1142]
(Full-time although Part-time will be considered, permanent)-Working across Leeds and Bradford.
Full-time 37 hours per week £26,000 per annum
The opportunity has arisen for an ESOL/English Tutor to work as part of our Study Programme teaching team. The Aspire-Igen group delivers vocational training and maths and English qualifications to around 2000 students each year.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering ESOL and English qualifications, training and support services associated with our contracted Programmes. This would include teaching and learning, assessment and learner support from Entry to Level 2, leading to further training, vocational pathways and employment opportunities.
The main objectives of the role are:
You must have a recognised teaching qualification, an ESOL subject specialist qualification and a minimum of 1 year’s post qualification relevant teaching experience and be familiar with Awarding Body requirements. A DELTA qualification would be considered with substantial experience of teaching ESOL in a publicly funded education or training context. You will be able to deliver ESOL and English from entry level up to level 2 and hold a level 3 qualification in your specialist area. You should be able to design and deliver training appropriate to our learners and have previous experience working with young people.

Careers Adviser [Ref: 1141]
Based in Leeds. Maternity leave cover until March 31st 2016
37hrs between 8.30am and 5.30pm, Monday – Friday
Salary £20,300 to £25,755 – depending on qualification level.

An opportunity has arisen for a Careers Adviser to join the company, working within our busy and dynamic National Careers Service team providing IAG to adult customers. Working in our Leeds premises and those of our partners, you’ll help people to make crucial decisions about their learning and work options.
You will be qualified to at least NVQ level 4 in Information, Advice and Guidance (or equivalent) with experience in delivering IAG to a wide variety of audiences in both individual and group settings in a target driven environment. You will be able to organise your own workload effectively, work to tight deadlines, understand common barriers to progression into work or training and have an understanding of current issues relating to the job market.
You will establish and maintain effective relationships with a range of support agencies; keep detailed and accurate records and provide a comprehensive service to customers. The successful candidate will be required to deliver advice and input onto an online system so good communication and ICT skills are essential.
