Customer Service Assistant

Based in Bradford

Full Time (37 hrs)

Salary - £15,103.40 per annum

You will be the first point of contact and so therefore it is important that you have good communication skills, patience and are confident dealing with members of the public, both face to face, on the telephone and via email.

You would also need to provide administration/clerical support to your colleagues, as well as dealing with deliveries and incoming/outgoing post.

It is essential that you can demonstrate you have had relevant experience in this role and a minimum of grades A-C at GCSE Level in English and Maths or equivalent.

Receptionist/Customer Service Assistant

Based in Scarborough

You would also need to provide clerical support to your colleagues, as well as dealing with deliveries and incoming/outgoing post. You must have good IT skills using word, access and outlook in particular. You will also provide basic support to customers using the public access computers.

CAREERS EUROPE ASSISTANT

Based at Onward House, Bradford

37 hours per week, £20,000 per annum

Careers Europe (Part of Aspire-I Ltd) is the UK’s leading producer of careers information for studying and working abroad. It is recognised by the European Commission as a centre of excellence and it is the UK partner in the Commission’s Euroguidance network, providing a link between the careers guidance community in the UK and its counterparts throughout Europe. Careers Europe produces a major internet based information resource, Venture www.venture-uk.co.uk, maintains its own website www.careerseurope.co.uk and also the Euroguidance website http://euroguidance.eu. It also has a strong social media presence through its Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin accounts.

We are recruiting for an assistant to join our small but highly motivated team. We need an outgoing, well organised individual with good research and writing skills who is comfortable with social media. The use of IT will be a necessity of the job so working knowledge of Microsoft Office will be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be positive about the opportunities offered by travel, work and study in other countries and be able to travel in the UK and Europe.

The successful candidate will also be someone who is confident about meeting and speaking with people, whether in a face to face situation or over the telephone, and whether in a formal or social context.

Although not essential, experience of working, studying or travelling in Europe or beyond would be an advantage, as would ability in other languages. Because of the possibilities for travel in Europe candidates must be citizens of an EU or EEA member state.

Careers Advice Worker/Careers Adviser

Hull – Temporary

(Fixed term until 30th September 2015 pending funding confirmation)

37 Hours between 8.30am and 5.30pm, Monday – Friday

An opportunity has arisen for a Careers Adviser to join the Company on a temporary basis (subject to contracts) working within our busy and dynamic National Careers Service team. Working in our Hull premises and those of our partners, you’ll help people to make crucial decisions about their learning and work options.

You will be qualified to at least NVQ level 3 in Information, Advice and Guidance (or equivalent) ideally level 4 (or equivalent) with experience in delivering IAG to a wide variety of audiences in both individual and group settings in a target driven environment. You will be able to organise your own workload effectively, work to tight deadlines, understand common barriers to progression into work or training and have an understanding of current issues relating to the job market.

You will establish and maintain effective relationships with a range of support agencies; keep detailed and accurate records and provide a comprehensive service to customers. The successful candidate will be required to deliver advice and input onto an online system so good communication and ICT skills are essential.

Careers Coach

Based in Hull

30 hours week – some evening/weekend work, Salary £20,300 pro rata

Do you want to help change people’s lives for the better through learning and work? Can you successfully support people on their journey into jobs? Then you could be one of our new Careers Coaches.

The successful applicant will be responsible for contacting customers who have accessed information, advice and guidance to offer follow-up support and coaching to enable them to meet their identified goals. Key to the role will be the tracking of customer progress and securing evidence of progression into work or learning. Self motivation and perseverance are key to success in this role.

You will be expected to develop effective working partnerships with internal colleagues and external organisations such as employers and agencies to identify suitable opportunities for customers. You will have a keen eye for detail and be able to keep meticulous and up to date records.

Working in a target driven environment you will be a motivated individual with the ability to record information quickly and accurately and have the confidence and aptitude to work effectively and independently

You will have an Information, Advice and Guidance qualification at NVQ Level 3 or above, although suitable alternatives may be considered. You must have previously worked to targets, have excellent ICT skills and competence in using Microsoft packages including excel, Word and Outlook. You also need to be well organised, and be sufficiently flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of the job. You may need to travel and work from different venues in the county as appropriate. Some evening work and weekend work required.
